Seat allotment — FAQs

Round 1 — July 1, 2026

Result is published at jeecup.admissions.nic.in. Log in with your application number and password, check allotment status, and download the allotment letter. Print at least 4–6 copies.

₹3,000 — mandatory

Pay Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) of ₹3,000 + Councelling fee of ₹250 online via debit card, credit card, or net banking on the portal. This is adjusted against your college admission fee when you join. Non-payment = seat cancelled + disqualified from all future rounds.

Yes — select Float

Select Float after Round 1 SAF payment. JEECUP automatically upgrades you to a better college or branch (based on your original choice order) if a seat opens in Round 2 or 3. If no upgrade is found, your current seat stays. Up to 7 rounds total.

Seat cancelled — no exceptions

Missing the SAF deadline cancels your seat and disqualifies you from all subsequent rounds. The ₹3,000 is non-refundable. Your only remaining option is Spot Admission if vacant seats exist after all 7 online rounds close.

Last chance — after all rounds

Conducted at designated centres across UP after all 7 online rounds close. Open to candidates who never received a seat. Allotment is in rank order — first come, first served. Bring all originals + rank card. This is the final opportunity in the 2026 cycle.

Read before withdrawing

Registration fee (₹250): Non-refundable always.

SAF (₹3,000): Non-refundable if you skip document verification after seat acceptance.

Withdrawal before accepting: Governed by AICTE fee refund policy.

College fee after joining: Refund per AICTE guidelines.

Yes — Phase 2 only

Candidates from Bihar, MP, or any other state can participate in Phase 2 — where seats not filled by UP domicile candidates are offered. They are not eligible for UP's reserved category seats. Read the official notification at jeecup.admissions.nic.in for exact Phase 2 dates.

What to do next — after seat allotment

Check allotment result on July 1

Visit jeecup.admissions.nic.in → login with application number and password → check seat allotment status → download allotment letter → print 4–6 copies.

Decide — Freeze, Float, Slide or Withdraw

Happy with the allotted seat? → Freeze. Want a better college? → Float. Same college, different branch? → Slide. Want to exit? → Withdraw (refund rules apply).

Pay ₹3,000 + 250 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)

Pay online via debit card, credit card, or net banking on the portal. Adjusted against college admission fee later. Non-payment cancels your seat with no refund and no further rounds.

Visit verification center for DV (first-time allottees)

If allotted a seat for the first time in this round, visit verification center with carry scanned copies of all required documents within the given window before the deadline.

Wait for Round 2 upgrade (if you selected Float)

JEECUP will automatically upgrade your seat to a better college or branch if one becomes available in Round 2. Check the Round 2 result when announced on the portal. Current allotment is retained if no upgrade is found.

Report to allotted institute for document verification

Visit your allotted polytechnic in person with all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies. The college verifies eligibility before granting admission. Not reporting = seat cancelled, no refund.

Pay the remaining college admission fee (SAF already adjusted). Complete all enrollment formalities at the institute. Your diploma seat is officially confirmed — congratulations!
