✅ Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognized Board/University as of 01 January 2026. Students who have appeared for exams but haven't received results by this date are not eligible.

2. Age Limit (18-23 Years)

Age is calculated as on 01.01.2026. Normal age range is 18-23.

  • General/EWS: Born between 02-01-2003 and 01-01-2008.
  • OBC: 3 Years Relaxation (Up to 26 years).
  • SC/ST: 5 Years Relaxation (Up to 28 years).
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 Years deduction after military service.

⚙️ Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of four stages. You must qualify each stage to proceed to the next.

3. PST (Height/Chest)

📝 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The exam is conducted online (Computer Based Examination). It consists of 80 questions with 2 marks each.

🏃 Physical Test (PET/PST)

The physical test is qualifying in nature, but strict. Marks are not added to the merit list, but failure leads to rejection.

Running: 5 Km in 24 Mins

(Ladakh Region: 1.6 Km in 7 Mins)


Height: 170 cm

Chest: 80 cm (Unexpanded) + 5 cm Expansion

Female Requirements

Running: 1.6 Km in 8.5 Mins

(Ladakh Region: 800 Mtrs in 5 Mins)


Height: 157 cm

Chest: Not Applicable

*Relaxation in height/chest is available for ST candidates and candidates from Hilly areas (Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas, North-East states, etc.) as per government rules.

🏥 Medical Standards

Detailed Medical Examination (DME) is the final hurdle. Common rejection points include:

  • 👁️ Eye Sight: Better Eye N6, Worse Eye N9. No colour blindness allowed. Lasik surgery is not permitted.
  • 🦵 Knock Knee / Flat Foot: Strict checking.
  • 💉 Tattoos: Only allowed on the inner aspect of the forearm (left arm usually) and size must be less than 1/4 of the body part. Religious symbols allowed if small.

💰 Salary & Perks

  • Basic Pay: Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)
  • Gross Salary: ₹35,000 - ₹45,000 / month (Depending on City & Risk Allowance).
